Orthopaedic bone screw, non-bioabsorbable, sterile. A small, sterile, threaded rod with a slotted head typically used for internal orthopaedic fracture fixation by being screwed into bone to hold plates or nails to bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilization of bone, or it may fasten soft tissue to bone; it is made of a material that cannot be chemically degraded or absorbed via natural body processes (includes implant grade metal such as surgical steel, titanium alloy, or carbon fibre). There are a number of kinds available: cortical, cancellous, malleolar, scaphoid, partially-threaded and fully-threaded, self-tapping, and cannulated. A "lag screw" can be any of these used to obtain compression across bone fragments.

Quality of life improved significantly with the use of these CoLag™ screws. As a keen DIY enthusiast constantly tackling home projects, having truly reliable fasteners is absolutely crucial, and these certainly deliver on that front. Their excellent, consistent grip made securing even heavier shelving units and tackling deck repairs surprisingly straightforward, providing a really solid hold that immediately instills confidence in your work. The main strength is definitely their incredibly robust construction and remarkable durability, ensuring everything stays firmly put for the long haul without worry. However, I did notice they require a specific type of driver bit for optimal, non-slip driving, which isn't always convenient if you're quickly grabbing tools for an impromptu task. Overall, a truly dependable choice for serious home improvement, just ensure you have the right accessories ready.
