Orthopaedic bone screw, non-bioabsorbable, sterile. A small, sterile, threaded rod with a slotted head typically used for internal orthopaedic fracture fixation by being screwed into bone to hold plates or nails to bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilization of bone, or it may fasten soft tissue to bone; it is made of a material that cannot be chemically degraded or absorbed via natural body processes (includes implant grade metal such as surgical steel, titanium alloy, or carbon fibre). There are a number of kinds available: cortical, cancellous, malleolar, scaphoid, partially-threaded and fully-threaded, self-tapping, and cannulated. A "lag screw" can be any of these used to obtain compression across bone fragments.. CrossRoads™ Bone Screw System is used for fracture repair and fixation, osteotomy, joint fusion, reconstruction and arthrodesis of bones appropriate for the size of the bone screw.

Joint protection was ensured during physical activity through the CrossRoads Bone Screw System, offering exceptional stability post-surgery. I found the screws to be incredibly secure, providing peace of mind during movement and everyday tasks. The design really felt robust, which is crucial for regaining confidence. One minor point to consider is that precise placement can take a bit of practice for less experienced surgeons, but overall, its performance for fracture repair is impressive. It’s a solid choice for anyone needing reliable bone fixation.

The transition back to active living was made easier by this innovative bone screw. Recovery felt significantly smoother, allowing me to regain mobility sooner than expected, which was a huge relief after my injury. The secure fixation provided by the CrossRoads system really inspired confidence in its performance. If there's a minor drawback, it might be the initial learning curve for some surgeons, though I imagine with practice, that becomes less of an issue. Overall, I'm really pleased with how well this helped me get back on my feet.
